Its always interesting how imperfect the memory is. I always think I can remember what something looked like, but the fact is, if you are involved closely whilst it’s changing, you never quite recall it’s original state.

 

This is why before and after photos are key and I’m so bad at getting decent photos of the former. I assume it’s just one of those things where you’ll expend your energy on capturing beauty yet neglect to focus on the less- beautiful and ultimately, transient.  Its certainly an area I have to improve on because I find it so satisfying seeing how rooms have progressed.
